Attendance:
5 Day Classes: 100% daily attendance required at Brows Ink Academy.
4 Day Classes: 100% daily attendance required at Brows Ink Academy.
2 Day Classes: 100% daily attendance required at Brows Ink Academy.
1 Day Class: 100% daily attendance required at Brows Ink Academy.
Classroom hours are minimum 8 hours a day, up to 10 hours. If a student is sick, proper notice is required of 12 to 24 hours prior to class start time for respective day. Student may attend a subsequently held, like-kind class to make up hours toward Certification of Completion.
Grading:
Brows Ink Academy works on a pass/fail system*.
Student must submit the following to pass any Course training:

4 practice skins, 8 sides front and back, specific to their respective area of study: Fundamental Microblade Methodtm or Fundamental PMU Methodtm (using tattoo machine).

Completion of 2 Models Post Classroom in Fundamental Microblade Methodtm or Fundamental PMU Methodtm training. Need to submit Models' before pictures and after pictures of initial procedure on each respective model, as well as 8 weeks later: healed Touch Up before and after. 8 weeks from initial procedure is when touch up may safely occur.

Must have 100% attendance, respective to Course days.

Completed Pre-Course Requirements: Online study and examinations for: Blood Borne Pathogens (BBP), CPR/AED and provide copies of all certificates to Brows Ink Academy for their student file.

Policy Statements: Satisfactory Progress
Satisfactory Progress:
Brows Ink Academy provides each student a written progress report when 50% of a course has been completed, either in-person or on the
www.browsinkacademy.com online portal.
This complies with 230 CMR 15.01(10) which requires schools to provide students with appropriate written reports of progress at least once during each Course with durations of 15 hours or more.
The student will be observed in the classroom by the instructor during respective Course practice sessions: Microblade Method, Fundamental PMU Method.
If student is continually observed to be struggling to achieve desire stroke results, regardless of Method being taught and studied, the instructor will spend additional time tutoring said student, outside of Course attendance, at an appointment suitable for student and instructor. There is no additional charge, for up to two (2) additional hours.
The student may come back to the Academy to shadow the instructor with a set, prior agreed-to appointment. When a student returns to learn this way, the student must be quiet, with nothing said that the client can be concerned about.
Note: If more 1:1 instruction is needed, student maybe required to pay a tutorial fee of $100.00/hour, not part of Course tuition or deposit. This is now considered a private tutorage and not part of Course(s) offered.

Enrollment Policies and Enrollment Procedures must be read and signed by student along with representative of Brows Ink Academy.

Attendance Policy must be adhered to.

Tuition paid in full, at least 1 week prior to start date for respective Course.

Refunds per M.G.L. Chapter 255, Section 13K.

Dress Code: Students to wear scrubs, top & bottom with closed toe shoes.
-
Personal Hygiene: No perfume, long fingernails, hair tied back and out of face, no gum chewing or cigarette smoking (allowed outside the back door and only on lunch or stretch breaks.) no drugs of any kind unless prescribed by doctor.

If Student brings in Model during classroom training, that Model will be considered their 1st model out of 3. Brows Ink Academy will provide 1 model, Student: 2 models, $300. fee.

Certificate of Competency & Completion issued to Student once criteria for Post Classroom work is turned in, completed and signed off by Brows Ink Academy. (See Grading #2.)

If any Student is disrespectful toward another student or representative of Brows Ink Academy, the Student’s Course enrollment may be dismissed, with a Student Complaint Form filled out and submitted to Brows Ink Academy for investigation and review. No prejudicial remarks, threatening behavior, verbal or physical abuse will be tolerated.

Any Student observed acting in a threatening manner toward anyone with a Microblade needle or tattoo machine and/or needles, will be dismissed from Brows Ink Academy at once.

Policy Statements: Guidance & Counseling, Job Placement
Guidance & Counseling:

Guidance is provided upon Student’s first contact with Brows Ink Academy to best serve their needs for Course determination and career goals.
-
Brows Ink Academy determines what the Student’s Course interest is, what dates they wish to attend, how they intend to pay tuition, how they found Brows Ink Academy; to qualify the Student and their respective needs.
-
Counseling is provided privately to the Student if they are experiencing difficulties of any kind respective to their Course curriculum and modalities. Assessments are made and solutions provided to the Student to feel more comfortable in a stressful training. Notes will be taken by Brows Ink Academy interviewing personnel.

Students may shadow an instructor with their private client after completion of their respective Course. This is available at no charge to the Student for six (6) months from their final class day with prior instructor approval.

The Student may return to discuss any issues, within (3) months from their final class date regarding their respective Course. An appointment must be made with instructor ahead of time.
* NOTE: A student may not receive Certification if the student:
1. does not complete any of requirements.
2. Is disrespectful to Trainer in voice, word, or actions.

Policy Statements: Student Complaint Resolution Process
Per 230 CMR 15.07(2) a school shall respond to written student complaints, in writing, within ten days from when the complaint was submitted to the school.
NOTE: Students may contact the Division of Professional Licensure, DPL, at anytime with a complaint to: occupational.schools@mass.gov or 617-701-8719.

Resolution occurs after reading Complainant’s Report, separately speaking with both parties. A written Report from Brows Ink Academy Principal will be provided to both parties. Per 230 CMR 15.07(2) a school shall respond to written student complaints, in writing, within ten days from when the complaint was submitted to the school.
Note: If the complaint is one of the Academy’s Rules & Regulations, immediate dismissal toward Individual that Complaint was made against, will occur until matter fully resolved.

Brows Ink Academy evaluates students on a Pass/Fail system based upon:
1. Learning/Comprehension
Based upon Course syllabus; describing what the student has been expected to learn.
2. Brow Strox patterns #1 & #2 for Microblade Method, Fundamental PMU Method.
3. Submission of practice strokes on fake skin practice pads per Pre-Course Requirements, prior to receiving Certification of Competency & Completion.
4. Interaction with other students and instructor.

Policy Statements: Withdrawal
Per 230 CMR 15.04(7) and (8)
(7) If a student withdraws from a Program in accordance with the Schools’ withdrawal policy, the school shall:
(a) treat the withdrawal as a termination of the enrollment contract, effective immediately;
(b) complete a refund calculation for the student, including all fees and payments, in a form acceptable to the division; and
(c) provide the calculation and any refund to the student within 45 days of the effective date of the termination
(8) If a student stops attending School but does not withdraw in accordance with the School’s withdrawal policy, the School shall:
(a) for purposes of any payments due from the student or refund due to the student, treat the student’s nonattendance as a termination of the enrollment contract, effective no later than the last date of attendance or last participation in an instructional activity;
(b) determine the effective date of the termination within 30 days after the the period of enrollment ends, the term ends, or the Program ends, whichever is earliest;
(c) complete a refund calculation for the student, including all fees and payments, in a form acceptable to the division; and
(d) provide the calculation and any refund to the student within 45 days from the date the School determines the effective date of termination under 230 CMR15.04(8)(b).
Financial Aid
Brows Ink Academy works with a 3rd party affiliate, Advance Care Card for a Financial Aid determination between Advance Care Card and Student. Brows Ink & Academy is not involved other than if approved, a credit card is issued to Brows Ink and may only be used for tuition payments.
